About MM2 Index
MM2 Index publishes Murder Mystery 2 item values that are computed from real trades, not set by hand. 130 items are published today; 136 are deliberately withheld because the evidence does not yet support a number.
Where the numbers come from
We read public trade posts from MM2 trading communities, parse the ones that state a clean exchange, and solve the resulting system of equations against a high-liquidity anchor item. As of Aug 22, 2026 that is 8,534 observed trades. Every published number carries its observation count and the method that produced it. The full method is written up here.
The check we lean on hardest: across the 93 items where independent traders state a value themselves, every one of ours lands within 25% of what they say. That signal is computed without reference to the trade graph, so agreement between them means something.
What we will not do
- We do not copy, scrape or "blend in" any other value list. Not one number here is sourced from a competitor.
- We do not publish a value we cannot defend. An item with thin or contradictory evidence gets a page that says so instead.
- We do not hand-adjust values to match expectations, ours or anyone's.
Who runs it, and the commercial bit
MM2 Index is run by the same people as petmart.fun, a shop that sells MM2 items. You should know that before you trust a value on this site, so it is on this page rather than buried in a footer.
It does not touch the numbers. Values are produced by a nightly automated solve with no manual step available to anyone, and the code refuses to publish anything two independent signals disagree about — there is no lever to pull even if someone wanted to. The full dataset is public and free precisely so that claim can be checked rather than taken on faith.
Item images
Item art on this site comes from the Murder Mystery 2 Wiki on Fandom and is used under CC BY-SA. We did not draw any of it and we do not claim it. Where an item is a set, the picture is a composite we assembled from the individual pieces, using the wiki's own list of what each set contains; those composites are derivative works and are published under the same licence.
The pictures change nothing about the numbers. Values are still solved only from trades we observed players make — no image, and no source of images, feeds the value engine. We say this explicitly because the section above promises we do not take other people's work quietly: the art is someone else's, so it is credited, here and in the footer.
214 of 266 items have a picture today. The rest show a tier-coloured plate instead. Some of them will never have art, and that is a normal state for this site rather than a gap we are apologising for.
Corrections
If a value looks wrong, tell us in the Discord. A wrong number is usually one of two bugs — an item name mapped to the wrong key, or a trade post parsed as something it is not — and both are fixable once someone points at the item. We would rather hear it than not.
